While I liked the lorem ipsum as our entire news, Nick demanded a real post. He is enforcing this with his whip, which he keeps handy for just such an occasion (see, if I don't write a post, he'll stop whipping me).
So, here's how the project is going: Not too shabbily! We have a working title now, “The Project”. Well that's not actually the title, but the one we're using is so lame and stupid I am ashamed to even write it, and I am the one who wrote the demeaning “About” page.
Anyway, more importantly than a working title, we are getting actual progress on the project itself. Since we're using an already-existing engine (The Unreal Engine), just a bit of work has to be done by the programmers to hammer (wait, wrong SDK – ahaha) it into the shape we need it. This involves adding a few things and changing a few other things.
Fortunately, a number of our tasks are being done in parallel. See, while the programmers learn the API, the level designers are working closely with the director to begin laying out the levels. Artists, both 3D modelers and especially concept artists, are making mock-ups of the objects we'll need in the finished game. Meanwhile, the writers are stealing Will's twinkies and trying to impress girls by claiming to be employed.
